What
In this workshop we are going to learn by ear some lovely old melodies from the UK and
Ireland. Chord suggestions will be provided as well as a short overview of music collections
from that area and time. Sheet music will be provided at the end of the workshop, recordings
welcome.

Some collections we will embrace:
F. Barsanti - Collection of Old Scot Tunes (1742)
William Vickers Collection of Dance Tunes - The Great Northern Tune Book (1770)
John & William Neal – A Collection of the most celebrated Irish Tunes (1724)
Playford – The English Dancing Master (1651)
J. Oswald - Caledonian Pocket Companion (1760)
Pitch: 400Hz, Language: German or English as required
